Third hand devices suck…but we all need / use them in the shop. I have several that I use from the fixed two arm hobby type to the LocLine type. For me they all have the same issue, really crappy fine adjustment. Tonight I had an Ah HA! moment. My Noga Arm I use for indicators now has a second use!
Precision adjustment with my third hand tools. Now I can hold a super small wire (30ga for example) and position it exactly where I want it without any fuss. Thought I would share, all I did was jam an alligator clip into a small cutoff of alum and a small metal plate for a base (for now).
