So, which Delta 3D Printer owner wants to tell @Adafruit_Industries that their 3D Printed Raspberry Pi case guide is incorrect?

Those parts should be dead simple for a properly built Deltabot to bang out - they are way simplier than @Chris_Gilroy 's Axios keyboard project, printed on a prototype Kossel Reprap.

Considering the article starts with " Although you could use different filemanet [sic] type, we recommend using PLA to minimize wrapping [sic]." you probably shouldn’t expect too much.

Sigh, it’s wrong in so many ways.

@Noe_Ruiz

Thanks @Thomas_Sanladerer The part about Delta printers has been removed.

@Noe_Ruiz I am curious what prompted that statement, in the first place. As a Deltabot developer, it really pains me to see these sorts of falsehoods spread, especially on a website as prominent as Adafruit. (It also didn’t help that Makerbot had been burning bridges with the OSHW community left and right, and Deltabots are one of the up and coming technology fro the OSHW, and right after you slammed the Deltabots there’s a big statement that you’ve printed those parts on a Makerbot replicator).

Have you had a delta style printer that you couldn’t get to print correctly? Is this something we can help you address?

@Terence_Tam This was honestly an oversight on my part. Thanks for pointing this out and your curiosity. At Adafruit, we are reselling the Orion delta printer and want to promote the use of open source printers. I’m reviewing a stock Orion delta and have been testing parts and projects. While printing the A+ case, I came across an issue where the dimensions were off by a significant amount. My colleague @Matthew_Griffin however test printed the case on his Orion delta with no issues. I added that disclaimer to the guide before confirming it was a calibration issue with my specific review unit. I did however find Orion owners with similar issues in the Seemecnc forum eluding issues with dimensional accuracy can be the nature of deltas (this prompted the disclaimer). I’m now working with folks from Seemecnc to get the issue resolved.

Specifically, we think the issue might be unleveled towers that can fixed with a horizontal radius adjustment. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
