So this happens. Try it out at home! The printer has to be on, obviously, and the stepper has to be enabled, so do a manual move with whatever axis you want to play radio with before trying or it won’t work. I have a RAMPS 1.4 board with Pololu stepper drivers.

So, I was picking up WORL; turns out that the frequency it’s tuned to is 660 on the AM band. So if you don’t have a station broadcasting near there, you might not pick up anything. Do you also happen to have the Kysan motors from ultimachine?

edit: holy shit my printer looked so different back then…I’ve replaced most of the parts with black since then, because the blue PLA melted in the Florida weather.

Awesome! What a crazy thing to discover, eh? Yeah, I don’t think we have a 660 AM here, but there’s something close, because you can make out voices and music in the static.
I have whatever steppers Lulzbot sells.
