So the printer seems to be back to normal after having some weird extruder jamming and skipping, but it took having to raise the temp to 210 (PLA) and slowing the printer down.

I’m wondering if the increased temp is a by-product of the filament absorbing moisture? I don’t here pops but when looking at the print head while it was raised and extruding, I noticed every once in a while a puff of steam.

When I first got this batch of spools, I was printing at 185 with excellent results. I store them in gallon sized zip lock bags with their original desiccant, but I’m suspecting it should be replaced.

What is your heated bed temp? An 3D printer in trouble.

@Joost_Urbach , no heated bed in use.

Tim, thanks! What is your printing speed? I don’t understand that when you raise your temp the printing speed drops. I always thought the other way around. You raise your temp. and raise your printing speed.

Agree, raising the temp will get the filament to flow better and allow for more speeds. I was just trying to solve what seemed like an extruder problem so did both things to minimize extrusion issues.
