So in relation to my last post,

So in relation to my last post, I am converting my simple metal(1403) to a Bowden setup and a y splitter. I am also adding a additional blower fan (part cooling has become a problem), as well as a possible mount for my raspberryPi+c270 cam. The parts are all coming shortly and would like to start designing the mounts for all the various pieces b4 they arrive, but the problem is I’m not sure where. I’m not sure what the best position for the 2 (large) motors, for the Bowden setup, would be. I was thinking it could go where the spool holder is, one on each side, but with the printer jerkin around I thought that that might put unnecessary pressure/wobble on the z-axis. I also thought about putting the near the back of the printer, giving it more stability, but that would mean large Bowden tubes, and those apparently cause some sort of issues with material types and such. Where would you place them?
Edit: @Brook_Drumm whatever I design, I will try to make it as universal as possible and post a link on the Extruder board forum to the thingiverse page/ youimagine page

“Large” bowden tubes aren’t really an issue. I’ve got machines with 3ft+ long bowden tubes that print fine.

@ThantiK hmm… I might choose to put it on the bottem then, I just dont want to strain the z axis

Ditch the y splitter. Add another z axis and x axis and 1 more extruder+hotend. Boom ZideX

@Step_Cia im going with the y slitter bc i supported the prometheuse system kickstarter and need to use my kit

@ThantiK wait, what? Now I am really confused… I have done like 24 inch bowdens and it was difficult. There were issues with retraction grinding at higher speeds. If you can do 3 foot bowdens with no issues, HOW???
