So I wanted to try out some of the newer slicers but having issues. I downloaded PrusaControl after Tom’s video but it doesn’t work on my laptop. I went to the forums on Prusa’s site to see if others are in the same ‘boat’ as me and found a link to the new KISSlicer(slicer I use now). Well I tried to download that slicer and it gives me this odd ‘RENAME2ZIP’ file and not just a .zip file. So it did not work either. I got that KISSlicer d/l from this Prusa thread: http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/print-tips-slic3r-settings-kisslicer-model-repair--f12/kisslicer-1-6-beta-t4968.html
Some firewalls block downloads of files with .zip extension. A common workaround is renaming the file to have another extension or no extension. The final step of the workaround is renaming the file on your end to [whateverFileNameYouWant].zip
@LatheBuilder tnx that worked.
Now I to get the PruseControl slicer to work so I can compare (the section that displays the bed/model to be sliced is black/no image).
