So, I want to power my rPi2 + raspberry7"touch + wifistick + webcam. Apparently the 5V/3A stepdown supply from ebay ( http://www.ebay.de/itm/151933079708?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT ) doesn’t have the juice… It doesn’t even power up. When I unplug the webcam, the rPi can boot but I have a perament rainbow-icon on the top right, which indicates low voltage.

Any suggestions what to buy to get me the juice needed? If I can do a wish: no wallplugs, I want to put it directly into the printer. I can source 230V and 24V as input.

Check out the CastleCreations BEC pro, adjustable, takes a wide range of DC input.

Or even any hobby BEC, most are above 3amps (atleast for the good ones).

Castle also has a lower end BEC, but I don’t recall if it can handle up to 24v.

seems so that your 5V 3A supply is not really delivering 3A. I am using RPi2+Rpi Touch+Wifi+Camera with Rpi adapter, which is only 2A and it works fine.

Actually you could do a voltage regulator yourself. There are ready to use components where you just need a PCB, regulator chip, some resistors and condensors. If you google for voltage regulator 5V 3A, you will find enough examples.
