So, here’s a thing:
New Rumba card with latest version of marlin. (1.0 beta)
x and y home fine with both G28 x0 y0 and plain old G28 commands. Z homes fine with G28 z0 but if I send plain G28 it hits the z min end stop then doesn’t retract as usual with homing and even weirder, manually increasing the z height after that causes it to lower the z height, pushing the endstop downwards. Doing G28 z0 resets things but G28 on its own is kinda useful.
I haven’t got around to examining the marlin G comands to see if its a bug. Anyone else come across this?

Scratch that, problem found.
When the Y driver is energised, the Z axis will only move downwards - Shorting the DIR pin on the Z driver I assume. Moved the Z cables across the E1 position and changed pins.h in marlin and the fault goes - except thatn (either way) the Y driver will not de-energise unless I hard reset the board.

Thanks @bipender_singh that was some good advice.
