So, an update on where I am.

So, an update on where I am. Issue number one was a blocked print head. So I’ll need to thermally nuke that to clean it - installed the spare.

Second issue. Kept getting a Y-shift partway through the print. Reduced the print speed and this somewhat lessened the Y-shift, but am now noticing there is an X-shift.

Last issue. When the print starts to go crazy I suspend it (I am using Pronterface) and then the printer doesn’t know where home is (reboot required).

And that’s my first day over.

You got it to stick to the bed on your first day!?!? Bravo!!!

You’ll get there - in pronterface, do you press “pause” or “reset”? You should be pressing pause,

When you say ‘the printer doesn’t know where home is’… Do you mean once you pause and resume it begins printing in a different spot?

What sort of printer? What firmware?

I realise sticking is an achievement in itself

It’s an Omni3D Architect (a RepRap based design). I use pause and everything is OK on a resume from a printing location, but it can’t do any negative axis movements. It tells me that it would be outside of the print bed.

When it starts to go crazy I do hear little thuds, which I think is the belt missing steps.
