Although I’m not sure how easy is to connect to the chip itself. Sonoff devices are fairly easy to hack. The procedure is the same

I use Sonoff S20 with Chuko socket with Tasmota firmware without any problem. I think it’s practically identical to that smart socket. Even though it has prepared PCB for pin header, which is better than that test points.

I recently played with sonoff and tasmota. It’s good to see some firmware choices for esp8266 chips
