Slic3r on the left KISSlicer on the right. The KISSlicer model tends to de-laminate, while the Slic3r model is stronger. These walls are 2mm thick. I’m printing with a 0.4mm nozzle on a Simple. How do I get KISSinger to create a rectilinear infill pattern like Slic3r?
My Slic3r infill settings are:
Fill density: 0.4
Pattern: rectilinear
Combine every 2 layers
Only infill where needed - Off
Fill angle: 45
Set your perimeter loops down from 6 (or is it set for 5?), but keep the wall thickness at 2mm. Set loops for 2, and it’ll infill the rest like slic3r does on the left.
3 loops on the inside surface. 3 loops on the outside surface = 6 loops. Which is what I see. Change to 1 loop and it will infill.
The colors look substantially different, and the KS print looks “tight” like it is under-extruded. Perhaps you don’t have the correct extrusion rate in KS?
I dropped the loops to 2, set infill to 20% and straight. Now it’s shaking and rattling the infill like the Slic3r settings. Final results are strong too - I couldn’t easily De-laminate the layers when prying the print off the bed like I was doing before
This is clear proof you have underflow with kisslicer. I actually fine set flow with objects like that. After printed, i break it, hard squisse the pipe and if it breaks while delaminating between perimeters you havent got enough flow, although you might think you have it set perfect. Object has to break or give in like one piece of plastic. This is also way easier to detrrmine with ABS than PLA.
