Since Dremel jumped into the 3d printing pool.

Since Dremel jumped into the 3d printing pool. How long do you think they will come out with a specific 3d printing tool pack for their Dremel tools. You know for cleaning up prints and widening holes that printed to small.
It would be nice to have the “right tool for the job” instead of adapting whatever to work. Then again, adaptation is part of the creativity.

I might as well throw in “What tools would you like to see?” come out of this venture.

That’s really hard to say what new tool can do the job better than what already exists. I have access to a machine shop’s worth of tools and can alter them as needed, and haven’t needed anything that’s obscure or customized for 3D prints. A set of small files, hobby knife variety set, drill bit sets, screwdriver bit sets, sand papers, a deburring handle and of course a rotary tool and flex shaft with a variety bit kit can get very far. Most of these can be easily bought at a neighborhood hardware store or hobby shop that sells model kits and accessories. My rotary tool and accessories do happen to be mostly Dremel. I don’t have a fine woodcarving set, so that’s another viable option.

I don’t think it’s necessary to have such a variety of tools, but it can be handy.

True a lot of people in this hobby already have a garage full of tools. I was thinking more along the lines of beginners just starting out who maybe don’t have a lot of tools or live in Condos can go to Home Depot and buy a 3d printer tool kit. Complete with calipers, allen wrenches, spatula, dremel w/ 3d printing tips to clean prints, and so on.
Just thinking out loud.

OK, I thought you were thinking special-purpose tools designed for 3D printing.

I always use a hotglow gun to make small holes bigger. But don’t push the tricker.
I have this hot-glow gun with a long tip.
