Sharing my mistakes so that others can avoid them.

  1. Flaperons on the X-UAV Talon give unexpected very sharp nose down behaviour, and unfortunately the 1s+ delay added by apm plane on flaps activation caught me by surprise
  2. When you have a heavier plane, keep in mind that control surfaces have to deal with a lot more weight, which in my case caused a ruddervator to come unglued and fly off as I was trying to recover from the nosedive.

Had a plane doing a serious crash on a maiden. Lipo caught fire. Lesson was to try out new models with smaller batteries. Keept a 5000 mah battery in the end of the plane resulting in it ramming through all the electronics in around 90 kph before catching fire. Gave crash and burn a very real reference for me :slight_smile:
