Very interesting. Thanks for sharing that. Do you think you could have solved it with less grounding? Meaning, if the laptop is floating, also allow the stepper power to float and don’t ground anything to the chassis?
It’s possible, but the SO3 power supply provides grounding…so the problem is the laptop and everything else gets grounded through that…but…it’s via the electronics so the laptop is grounded via the USB port, through the SO3 board and to the power supply ground. IMHO
