Rotary encoder steps

Hi,
I have a rrd full graphic lcd with rotary encoder attached to my 5XC. When I turn the rotary encoder the cursor moves 2 menu items per encoder click. If I turn the encoder slowly I can get it to step 1 item at a time between encoder clicks. It is the same adjusting items/settings in the menus.
Is there a setting to change to allow me to adjust the response of the firmware to the encoder input?

Try increasing panel.encoder_resolution in your config file.

My config file did not have that option but I inserted it and adjusted the value and have it working satisfactorily now.
