Hi, i have problem with setting up rotary device for my laser, i plugged it in where y axis would go but than my computer cant see my laser. Rotary device is working, turning, checked it with fiber laser and ezcad2, it is all fine. Moment i plug it into co2 laser its invisible, its not usb cable im guessing cause when y axis is on its again working ok. Maybe someone would help with some ideas?
If connecting something to the controller affects connectivity with the computer, I would guess the newly connected device might not be wired correctly. It is possible that the pinout for the fiber laser might be different than the pinout for your CO2 laser.

Just a guess but is this rotary device made specifically for the fiber laser and is more than just a 4 wire stepper motor connection?
