QUESTION: I set up now my banggood diode laser with a makerbase smoothie clone (I’m excited, the smoothieswoftware is so much easier, than configuring marlin and faster!!! felt in love with it)
So far, everything is running fine, engraveing works, but, what frequency do you set to the diode laser? What parameters are you using to raster images?
@Ben_Koch welcome to the club. For raster images just load it and select the speed. Start slow at 100mms and got up from there. Diodes don’t have much power so you migth need slower speeds to get darker results
