Prusa3 waterjet cut frame by the guys at Master Waterjet Services, Inc

Oh man oh man oh man. I just swapped out the vertices on my Prusa Mendel v2 too. Now I’ve gotta tear it all down again. HAH - WORTH IT!

All my old plastic parts are being donated to a friend at the lab who owns a Printrbot, but was impressed with the quality and speed of my mendel, so he’s going to rebuild it with his own motors, etc.

What material have you had it cut from?

6mm Aluminum plate

Very nice… I like the little subtraction there…

i made one out of 6mm steel (way cheaper down here, Argentina). I have to paint it and test it, im not sure about the y plate, its a bit heavy.

@Nicolas_Arias ouch. I hope you plan on basically never moving it. Mine goes everywhere with me.

What was the cost? I’m looking to source one from a local machine shop…

For stell it around 20 u$d. I have to drill and tap the m3 holes, but i have the tools to do that.

@Joe_Murphy just the metal itself before cutting was $80 I believe.
