Haven’t posted in a while…thought I’d share a few projects I’ve completed. Made a knock-off of a Gibson Explorer using K40 generated templates; very challenging project. Also made some epoxy solar lamps using leftover red cedar.

Cool guitar and love the lamps
All… super work.
Cedar… I assume, is really nice!
You do get some cracking wood (in the states?). I needed some really nice grained wood for a project, scoured the UK without a lot of luck. Needed a second mortgage and it was still not good. Gave up in the end. Love your projects.
Thank you to all - appreciate the kind words. Yes, it’s Western Red Cedar. I know a guy who runs a saw mill and he lets me pick through his stock; I try to select the wood with the most dramatic grain patterns. I love working with this stuff as it’s cheap and machines beautifully.
Knowing a saw mill guy … nice that is!
