Out of curiosity, which website(s) do you generally read for 3D printing related news?
The Reprap Repstrap Aggregate Feed used to be the place for everything. I managed to get an OPML for it when google reader shut down and import it into a replacement. You might still be able to find the OPML file. There are hundreds of feeds in there, most of them now defunct, but it has all the blogs from the old days.
3ders and fabaloo have a lot of dreck, but scanning their feeds is worthwhile, in case you miss an interesting story elsewhere. Most of the interesting stuff pops up here on G+ first, if you follow the right people.
