In conjunction with the UFID project, I’ve been working on a design for an open standard (reusable) cartridge system, but it will require the spool dimensions to be more standardized. Most of the spools I use (other than those from @Tom_Martz ) would be within the tolerances I have in mind, but a more tightly standardized set of dimensions would make it much more practical.
