# Serial Port Json Client (SPJC) !!!In development!!!

A Client side framework that talks with [Serial Port Json Server](https://github.com/chilipeppr/serial-port-json-server)

This project aims to create a functional javascript client-library, that talks to the Serial Port Json Server over a Websocket. It also abstracts the device communication to a unified api.

Know what I’d really like? SPJS hosted directly on a smoothieboard, maybe as a communication protocol? Would knock out my need for a Pi I think.

Esp8266 firmware for smoothie web server is in the works. You can stream commands to smoothie over Ethernet right now (so I’m told) and this would allow the same over wifi. SPJS is too heavy for this, we only need the basics.
