We’ve been working with @adidas on the new adidas Futurecraft 3D shoes, kicking off adidas’ Futurecraft series initiative that’s set to revolutionize the way you think about running shoes. Trouble finding shoes that fit just right? With 3D gait analysis and 3D Printing, you’ll never have to worry about that again. Check it out. #adidas #3Dprintedshoes #3Dprining #Futurecraft #Futurecraft3D

Is the powder in the video related to the process? What material is used to create the 3D printed flexible sneak?

Based on the little bits and pieces of the process in the video, I’ll take a guess that it’s laser sintering. The powder is the material, fused for the object, unfused to serve as support. It has to be shaken clear of the internal structure to “release” the part/object/model.

The material could be something as simple as nylon or a proprietary plastic made for adidas.

Yeah I thought that too- it looks like sintering

Yes, as the Fred U’s commentary, the process is SLS and i think that the material (it’s a great secret, sure) its a Flexible PLA. You can find more information of SLS from PLA at: https://i.materialise.com/materials/polyamide

ok awesome- thanks - another amazing process thanks to science- just amazing
