Have you considered using a hall effect switch and a glued 3 mm disk magnet? The end result would be extremely compact, like a cubic cm or so in volume.
As I wrote, I’m about to try an inductive sensor and a washer. It does not have to be compact. It just has to fit the front side of my 4th axis.
Yup, just tought about making a suggestion in case the other sensor does not work as desired.
It’s something I could try. Indeed.
I was mainly asking here for experiences of other people who have already done the same.
