I am working on an open source 3-D house printer. One of the issues was the need to use multiple raspberry pi controllers to run each of the two robots that control the y-axis. That was unacceptable so I priced out commercial controllers. They ran between $1500 and $3000, which was unacceptable. The BeagleBone black controller has everything I need and includes a video output for $45.

Gonna have to remove this. You say 3D house printer, but the article doesn’t mention it even once.

@ThantiK it was actually commentary on the cost of commercial versus open source but if you need to remove it, remove it.

Neither “3D” or “Print” was mentioned anywhere in the article. It’s not the “open source” community, it’s about 3D printing. The article had literally nothing to say about 3D printing. Sorry; we’re very strict on this.

@ThantiK no problem.
