One of the DCs here at Techshop ( https://www.facebook.com/jordan.patton.180 ) gave a try at dry bushing some of the prints we had laying around. He literally spent 20 seconds each on them and they look much more interesting.

Dry brush. What does that mean, taking a brush that is dry and brushing the item?

+1 for what is dry brush, also, what color were they to begin with?

I’m guessing a light brushing of acetone.

“Dry brushing” is a painting technique where one uses a nearly dry brush to apply color to elevated areas of the figure being painted.

Dry Brushing is (as it says on the tin) is where you take a (normally) large brush, load it with undiluted paint, then wipe the majority of the paint off and lightly brush the surface of a model. Because there is only a small amount of dry paint remaining on the brush, it is only deposited on the edges of the model and this serves to produce a highlighting effect as you see above. The trick is to get as much paint off the brush a possible and then apply several passes for best effect.
