okay after ordering the wrong extrusions for my mini kossel i have reordered the right ones soon to arrive as well as some other odds and ends. i am confused about what would be the best extruder for my system. I live on very little money so i have to have one that is reliable easy to build and will work well. would anyone please advise me to the best one to choose.

Setting aside for the moment that you are living on very little money and yet building your own 3D printer, and building a delta at that, and one that has mediocre reviews relative to the ranking of currently available 3D printers, the Kossel (and presumably the “mini” Kossel) use a bowden extruder. In addition to that you will need a ‘hot end’ (where the plastic is melted) and for that there are a variety of choices. The E3D one gets high marks generally when it is reviewed.

thank you

I have a direct drive extruder but wish that I had a geared extruder. Even a small mechanical advantage is very helpful for these small stepper motors.

@Chuck_McManis is spot on, the E3D hotends are very nice. I have their v6 hotend and its fantastic. However, it’s not cheap and there are plenty of other serviceable options out there with lower price tags.
