OK guys, this is the deal…
I’m dying to have a 3D printer, but my resources and budged are really limited and the only way I can make this work is by building it myself and buying the parts one at a time. I’m a Computer Engineer with reasonable mechanical experience and basic electronics knowledge.
The plan is to build a RepRap Prusa i3, so first things first:
1- Anyone from Brasil in this group??? Would you be willing to print me the printable parts for a reasonable price?
2- Any beginner advice? Things to look up ahead?
Don’t hook your ramps power in the wing way… you will blow a lot of money on electronics doing that (if your using a ramps) when you get the printer built the first thing you should do after calibrating is print another set of vital parts eg. Big/small extruder gears (personally I’d print multiple small gears.
And this is just my opinion, and I think a few would agree, go with the four bolt idler for the wades extruder not the guilder. You will have less breakage.
And if you start getting frustrated step back and let it set you will do more harm than good trying to fix these printers while you are mad at them.
Just my 2 cents.
Hahahaha yea, I kind of learned that one when hacking a no-break.
Good news, found a guy in my city that is going to help me out, we are just really confused about the parts list. Can someone confirm me if this is the complete list for the boxed version?

I might be bringing confusion but I’ll post anyway, if I was going to build a Prusa i3 I would add this single piece Y end modification: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:132739 It eliminates the front and back threaded rods with associated nuts and washers which will make the assembly even simpler. A pity the author didn’t post a picture of them assembled on a printer, so we don’t know if they’ve really been tested.
@Rene_Elias I Agree, without experience and knowledge of cause, choosing mods would be very difficult.
