OK, emotive subject time. What is the most cost effective 3D printer I can buy in the UK with a 250 mm cube true build volume?

@Ashley_Webster thanks for this, luckily (or not) I work for HepcoMotion, so I have access to lots of hardware. The software and electronics are my problem with a home build.

Check out the Printrbot line. The junior or the plus should fit you bill

Yes they are. My simple witch is the bottom of the line ROCKS. But I have needed many upgrades to get the bigger build volume and heated bed. I love the company, the support I get at the Printrbot forumes and @Brook_Drumm for making great stuff

@Tim_Page-Brown I also hear soolidodle is having a big sale on their cost effective line of printers. I have no experience with them but I’m sure if you ask you can get feedback

Best of luck. there is a user @lewis_i on twitter who teaches a 3d printing class in London and at the end of the class you get to keep the printerbot simple you build during the class. send me a message if I can be of any more help
