OK after a little work last night… this is what I have. I’m going to try 0.25 mm layer size next with 100% feed. Thanks for all the help. I’m certain also I have temps problems also. I notice today that I don’t seem to have missing material in layers now. But I have to much material… That’s a good problem …
Still looks like it is over extruding.
@Keith_Applegarth yes… but I got something out of it…
Is the stepper on your extruder very hot after or while you are printing? Is the stepper room temperature? Most printers have a small POT that regulates the current to the steppers, if the stepper is very hot it is getting too much current turn the POT down. If it is room temperature it isn’t getting enough current and maybe skipping steps too which often leaves an uneven chunky appearance. Turn the POT up. Do you know what flavor of firmware you are using? Many use Marlin, or Sprinter. If you know what firmware you are running you can gather info from other printer manufacturers using the same firmware. Using G/M code you can get the settings from your printer which include all of the multipliers. the multipliers tell your printer how many steps are needed to move 1mm or how many steps to extrude 1mm of filament. Getting these calibrated will make your printer behave more consistently with a wide variety of software like Repetier, Slic3r and Cura. Getting a printer tuned can take a long time and be frustrating, especially the first few times you have issues. Hope you are having some fun. Bv)
Thanks we are using cuba
what is the layer hight?
4 cm in height about
Just so you know, Cura is software not firmware. I am not aware of any firmware called “cuba”. Although you can change parameters in software like Cura or Repetier and Slic3r, this does not change the firmware settings that are actually controlling your Bot.
However, your slicer settings (be it Cura or Slic3r) do affect how your print looks in the end…
In the end @jeremie_laflamme I hope you get everything working, not only that but that you learn how to get any printer working the way you want it to with what ever software you are using. I would get my firmware set first, that is just what I would do.
