Not sure how I feel about the actual printer design, but the software interface that they’re using looks very interesting. It allows you to “rewind” a print to the point where it failed (perhaps due to a jammed extruder) so that the entire print won’t be a waste.

This printer makes my eyes hurt. Yet another kickstarter money grab. Nothing original about the design. The rewind feature its useless if you don’t spot the failure immediately , which you won’t unless you want to sit and stare at your printer for hours.

It looks over-wrought. I like the idea of counter-weights, but I’m dubious that belts and counterweights will make the z-axis more accurate than a good threaded rod.

Whoa, that thing is weird looking. It reminds me of the gamecube for some reason…

I’ve wondered about a belt-driven Z axis for a while. Once upon a time I found a thread on http://reprap.org (I think) describing some experimentation with it, but I found nothing that made me think it would give serious benefits.
