That feeling when you laser cut multiple pieces from a sheet of plywood and all the cuts come out clean.
I just noticed your plaques…really well done. How’d you get the compass symbology so clean? If you etched them, that’s the cleanest etching I’ve ever seen.

It’s just a normal raster etching. For the S&C it was etched at 350 mm/s. For the corner working tool squares I slow it down to 250 mm/s and lower power so the laser has time to fire on the smaller details.
I’m etching and cutting so the focus is set halfway into the 1/8" ply. So technically not the sharpest engraving I could get, but with this it doesn’t matter. It also helps to have vectorized imagery instead of fuzzy edged .jpg images
@NedMan You mask off the surface before engraving, right? That adds to the crispness that Mike noticed.
Ah, I see now what @MikeMeyer meant by a clean engraving.
Yes, I almost always mask my pieces before engraving. Especially in this case where I use a spray to darken the engravings.
