New cape coming up, PCB out for printing… And yeah, I did put an AVR on it too. I know, I know… Give me more time to learn about the PRUSS and I’ll remove it. That cape does power the BBB, though. In theory it does, at least
Cool. What’s it do?
tell us, what does it do?
I’m guessing it’s to with model trains http://www.aerodynes.fr/ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfj6WpUd0N0
@Bert_Lindner that’s correct, it’s the next iteration of the controller. It is used for model trains, of course, but on a more generic level, it contains a PWM motor controller with speed sensing (BEMF), as well as a 2-chip solution for controlling 32 relays - one at a time, plus four individually - , which is not that easy to do on a small board like this! I’m curious to see how the switched mode power supply on the bottom right corner will perform, I used the design helpers from TI to optimise it…
