My first few prints with Taulman 618 Nylon (1.75mm) on a Tantillus -  Amazing

I’m still using 240 for the first layer onto Blue 3M tape, didn’t try doing that any lower yet.

Gotcha, maybe I should pick some of this up.

Very cool, I may need to give this a try…

I just printed a few more things at 240 first layer and 200 all other layers, and they print fine, the parts seem as strong as the higher temperature prints, so don’t think Nylon needs a great deal of heat at all to make really good objects.

Very exciting! Makes me want to work on an activated charcoal fume extractor. I hear what people are saying about no known hazards, but as more materials become available, we’re likely to stumble into something nasty.

More testing, Nylon seems very happy to print small things at 200 degrees C (under 20mm) you ideally need two outlines or some infill. (tested upto 60mm/sec)
With bigger models 220 degrees or slightly more should be used, and if you are printing single walled outlines 230 is great for solid layer bonding.
Don’t use any fans to cool the print.
