My first FastLED Adafruit tutorial is live!

I was recently invited to be a contributor to the Adafruit learning center and just completed my first guide. I feel like a rockstar. (wiggle)

Thanks so much to @Mark_Kriegsman and @Daniel_Garcia and all you other lovely people who are helping me learn this stuff.

Let me know what you think! So excited to get to feature FastLED on the Adafruit site. :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

looks like we will get more people using FASTLED. ya!

Absolutely great!!
Go you for spreading the love and light!

Congratulations on a great guide! I’ll have to build one of these with my daughter. :slight_smile:

Great job, well done

Congratulations. What a great guide. (they’d better be giving you serious discount now!)

Any way to get a code update on this guide?
It no longer works as written. :frowning:
Where do I even start? ^_^;

@William_Keef , when you say ‘it no longer works’, can you be more specific? What are you using as an MCU? What version of FastLED are you using? Because unless she has changed the code on the instructional, the rest isn’t under her control.

Fwiw, I just loaded the code for a 328p and it compiled fine with 3.1

Using a Gemma, with Arduino 1.0.5, FastLED 3.0.3.
‘CRGB’ does not name a type is the error.
It’s the same error i get on all the examples.

Use version 3.1

That you got the same error on all the examples was probably a pointer to it not bein Erin’s fault, but your own.
