My company, @3Dom_USA just released a glass filled PLA that is stronger, tougher, and more flexible than standard PLA. More details on the website: http://www.3domusa.com/glass-filled-pla/

Sounds like it might be abrasive. Does it require an all metal hotend with a stainless steel nozzle?

It’s been printing just fine on all of the printers we have in-house. That includes MakerBot Rep 2, Rep Mini, 5th Gen, Z18, LulzBot Mini, TAZ 4.

@Nathan_Walkner I’d agree but there has to be some reason behind their quanlitative data. I’d be willing to try it if it wasn’t twice the price as a normal roll of PLA

Think this would work with a Filabot?

@Nathan_Walkner We’re actually working on a way to test layer-to-layer strength so that we can compare directly to PLA printed parts. As for our testing methods, here is the chart showing the comparison between PLA and Glass Filled PLA printed parts: http://3dprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/g11.png
