My 14 yr.old son made some improvements today. Pictures show adjustable motor plate, rubber drive wheel and a shallow pulley for mason cord. Josiah designed it using SketchUp. He will add it to Thingiverse soon. It has 2 of the 6X15X5 bearings.
The bearing you suggested for making the carriage cost 8 Euros (each) on Amazon !

Thank you for bearing suggestions. I found cheaper source for 3X10X4 bearings and have ordered them. Also ordered some PE rod. I do not have lathe, but can find someone to drill them. So many ideas! Will print a sample of roller608 from Thingiverse. We are enjoying this construction !
