You can also use MeshLab to do Collada (.dae) to STL conversion.

I think Cura can handle DAE since version 12.11.

Nice thing about DAE is that it preserves colour/surface mappings. In theory it should be easy to interact with full-colour print options like Shapeways Sandstone (http://www.shapeways.com/materials/sandstone) which do take DAE directly

@Gregor_Luetolf Yes, indeed. I think it is not a Cura bug. @Andrew_Plumb Not even MeshLab could handle this Collada file. :frowning: They better add STL support :wink:
