Moar extruders! I’ve finished an expansion board for Replicape adding three more steppers, heaters, thermistors and fans. I have two beta testers, but anyone else wants to give it a go, I can ship a PCB your way once they arrive. Requires some soldering skills, though : ) http://www.thing-printer.com/reach-expansion-board-replicape-ready-review/

Will this work on on a rumba board as well? I ask because I’m trying to run all four extruders on my kraken head. Right now I can run 3 without issue just a bit unsure of #4
@Bob_Rosania this is specific to the Replicape board, but you might try to ask the Rumba people directly.
@Brigham_Valdez The expansion board I posted will not work with a Ramps 1.4 setup.
I just looked at the schematics and the only way it would work on Ramps is to write / re-write the Marlin / Repetier firmware and find a way to get all the used pins on the cape over to the arduino. It would take a lot of work and a lot of custom coding. You will basically be using the cape as a big prewired breadboard of components. Wouldn’t be pretty.
@James_Armstrong indeed! I’m sure there are better alternatives for the RAMPS board for adding more extruders. Reach has been made for BeagleBone Black with Replicape, trying to use it for anything else is probably not worth the effort…
