Mks sbase upgrade driver

Hi everyone I have recently been using an mks sbase 1.3 and lightburn card and I was wondering if you could upgrade to the tmc2208 drivers to increase the microsteps of the motors exceeding the maximum 32 of the drv series

The MKS sbase 1.3 card has the stepper drivers soldered to the motherboard, and even if you desoldered them I do not think that the tmc2208 or tmc2209 are available in the same packages. Also, it’s common for stepper drivers to have heat sink pads under the package and require hot-air solder rework stations to solder or remove.

Therefore, it’s not feasible to modify these boards to use tmc stepper drivers.
