No ooze shield or prime tower?
In MC 1.2 you can find this under ‘Print’ > ‘Multiple Extruders’ as Wipe Shield Distance and Wipe Tower Size.
If only they packaged for Linux… :’(
Love MatterHackers. In addition to making good printer host software they’re a good supplier of materials and print house. Congrats on the release to Lars and co.
Thank you!
We’re using Slic3r for our multi-extruder machines. Where can we find this Mattercontrol software, and what advantages might it have over Slic3r?
@American_3D_Printing MatterControl is available for download on http://www.mattercontrol.com. There are plenty of great features to fall in love with but the number one thing you’ll notice immediately is that slicing is smarter and about 10x faster.
@Matthew_Satterlee Linux package of 1.2 is on its way…
Wahoooo!!!
Thanks for spreading the love!
OMG I can’t wait to try this out! This is the first open source slicer I have seen that will allow parts to be rotated in the X or Y axis, and not just the Z axis. Up until now, the only slicer we have used that will do that is Makerware, which of course only works with our Makerbots.
@American_3D_Printing , Cura allows scaling or rotation in any axis.
@Matthew_Satterlee We’ve been using Slic3r, KISSlicer and Voxelizer.
@MatterHackers , your blog said a Linux version was “coming soon” almost 8 months ago. Is there a time frame for Linux support?
