I’m currently in the process of developing an IoT device and am looking for some guidance on how to turn it into a marketable product. As an embedded software engineer, I have been focused on developing the software and hardware components, but I’m at a loss when it comes to designing a product-level enclosure for the device.
The device itself is roughly the size of a coffee cup and includes a screen and light emitting features. While I plan to 3D print the enclosure for the prototype, I have no idea where to start when it comes to making a product-level enclosure. I need guidance on designing, selecting materials, manufacturing, and any other related aspects.
Any advice or tips on the process of designing and producing a product-level enclosure would be greatly appreciated!
