With this update, we have made the WYSIWYG rich text editor (“composer”) available as an option. It is still in beta, and not everything works. You can see the development status of the new composer here, if you are curious about what works and what doesn’t yet work:
To use the rich text editor, use the toggle at the upper left side of the post edit window while you are writing a post, or use the control-M hot key. The “M ” means you are writing raw markdown; the “A” means you are in the rich text editor.
You can toggle back and forth as often as you like. If you like, you can use the rich text editor for most of what you write, and switch to markdown only for features not yet implemented in the rich text editor.
Previously, the Account and Profile icons were the same as the Summary icon in Preferences:
Now, we have different icons in each place to make navigation a little easier:
