The next update to Maker Forums is likely to result in a downtime of approximately half an hour rather than the usual few minutes, due to a required database migration.

I will look for a time during the next few days when the site is not being heavily used to perform the update.

I started this process at a time when no one was currently using the site. It unexpectedly took almost 50 minutes to complete, almost all of which was migrating to a new version of the underlying database that should improve site performance.
