I use Artcam for my CNC designs and there are dozens and dozens of file choices for saving the Tool Path. Does anyone know the the best Machine File Format for GRBL 1.1h? I have tried G-Code (mm)*tap and that has commands not recognised by GRBL.

In general, note that some gcode senders (e.g. UGS) can do some translations. For example, I think UGS knows to translate drill cycle like G73 into raw G1 Z sequences when talking to grbl. So the next time you run into a mismatch in gcode flavors, it’s one more trick you can pull out of the bag.
