GRBL 1.1e

X axis can’t move then driver be come hot,
Y axis no problem,

@adam_ian driver or stepper become hot because of over current ant it wont move. Adjut the pot on the driver. Not a LW problem.

Those characters not sure what they are @cprezzi ?

@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty
I guess X axis board problem, i move the drive and stepped to Z axis connection then try jog Z axis then motor run with no more hot, also try with Y axis same driver and stepped also run smoothly

@adam_ian you board with integrated drivers Or droop in? If drop in the change drivers X to Y and try

The characters seems to be communication errors. The source can be a bad USB cable or board problem. Which board are you using?

Well, I know GRBL1.1f works for me. Did your screw in terminals short due to untidy wire strands at those screw terminals or did you wire something wrong? I do not use the power plug that is on the arduino. I am not sure if that would be safe. Good luck!

@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty
droop in, already change X to Y no problem stepped can move.

@cprezzi
I try to change other cable, same problem. I’m using CNC shield compatible.

actually before this happen, all driver and stepped motor can move but wrong direction (jog + move - )

@adam_ian if you changed and works then you need a new driver or adjust the currenr

Did you rewire right before this happened? If so, I think you have the coil pair wires not next to each other. In other words, you are shorting the board via the motor wiring. Just a hunch, mind you.

@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty
all driver i tested and all work except X connection.

@NathanielStenzel
all rewiring checked no problem.

confirm X socket problem.
