LW4 doesn´t open rastered images for me anymore.

LW4 doesn´t open rastered images for me anymore. SVGs are opened, but wether JPG nore PNG are. The “Add Document” button gives the open file dialogue, but the raster file I pick is not loading into LW4.
I have the feeling, that things went wrong since I tried to load an indexed color jpeg but hard to be sure afterwards…
I am using the 64 bit Version 4.0.45

What is possibly going wrong and why?
How can I completely remove everything LW4 related from my system to do a real new installation?

I was just about to post the same issue:

Frontend: 0.4.0
Backend: 4.0.45
Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit
Dell laptop - 64 bit / Intel Pentium CPU 2127U @ 1.90GHz / 8.00GB installed RAM

I can import SVG and DXF but no associated image shows up on the workspace grid. occur with ANY SVG though I get no error with the DXF (no image either). When I try to import a JPG, BMP, or PNG image it not only fails with no error but also does not show up in the documents column. I have tried both color and greyscale images saved from Photoshop and images found on the internet with no known provenance. Bitmap images simply refuse to import. Unfortunately the SVG and DXF don’t seem to be working for me either.

I just found out about LaserWeb and it looks phenomenal, I just hope I can make it work.

I will check tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience.

And report, thanks!

I’m uploading stable version to github right now.

I just downloaded, installed, and tested 4.0.45 (see attached screenshot). I opened an SVG, DXF, JPG, BMP, and PNG - of the five all of the bitmap images show in the documents list AND appear in the workspace, the SVG threw four errors on import but showed up in documents list and the DXF showed up in the documents list with no errors - Neither the SVG or DXF file show up on the workspace.

Okay, on a hunch I looked into a few online repositories and found an SVG and DXF file someone else made to test and, while the import was slow, they both worked as anticipated. My guess is that Font files saved as SVG or DXF aren’t imported due to some reason I do not understand. I now know that when I design files to not add font elements.

Sorry for my confusion.

Fonts implementation is faulty, sorry. Please trace them or your design software. @Sebastien_Mischler could you take a look?

JPG and PNG both work for me now.
Thank you @Jorge_Robles for such a quick fix.
