I was just about to post the same issue:
Frontend: 0.4.0
Backend: 4.0.45
Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit
Dell laptop - 64 bit / Intel Pentium CPU 2127U @ 1.90GHz / 8.00GB installed RAM
I can import SVG and DXF but no associated image shows up on the workspace grid. occur with ANY SVG though I get no error with the DXF (no image either). When I try to import a JPG, BMP, or PNG image it not only fails with no error but also does not show up in the documents column. I have tried both color and greyscale images saved from Photoshop and images found on the internet with no known provenance. Bitmap images simply refuse to import. Unfortunately the SVG and DXF don’t seem to be working for me either.
I just found out about LaserWeb and it looks phenomenal, I just hope I can make it work.
