LPS power control from Awesome Tech controller S

@Paul_de_Groot,
How are you?
Haven’t connected in quite a while :slight_smile:

I have a question about the MiniGrbl controllers method of controlling the LPS.

Yea I know, we have been here before :crazy_face:

As I understand it the normal wiring for your controller to the LPS is:
LPS-L…to…Laser ON (turns the laser on/off)
LPS-IN…to…PWM Out (controls power level)

Is there any firmware configuration where the Laser ON signal can function as the PWM so that the pot can be retained in the circuit?

I am aware of the method for switching the input to the IN alternately from either the “pot wiper” or the “PWM Out” but I was checking to see if there was another alternative that allows the pot to be additive to the software power control.

Also what type of signals are the Laser ON and PWM Out … TTL… Open drain …?
