How hard would it be to build a “bottom/chassie plate” for the OpenRC Truggy in Carbon fibre? Anyne with some experience?

That’s a pretty neat project you found there (even though i’m not a huge fan of FF drivetrains)
One way to get custom carbon parts is having them milled - i once had a custom rear shock tower milled for my DF-03 from, i think, 6mm carbon, which turned out absolutely beautifully. It was milled on a compact entry-level CNC mill/router (think HAASE and such, 3k max) and while carbon dust is not only pretty bad for the machine’s moving parts but also harmful to the human body, the dust can be easily tamed with a vaccum and some covers for the guides.

Milling carbon fiber robs it of a ton of its strength. However, vacuum bagging epoxy and carbon fiber cloth is pretty easy.

Ok, thanks for the feedback! It doesn’t sound as easy as I would have hoped it to be…
