Looking for a thing to run wires through holes in plywood

Heya,

Anyone know of a part that I could use to line a hole drilled in plywood to run wires through? I was thinking some sort of hollow Chicago screw or something, but I can’t find anything in my searches, so I thought I would reach out here.

Thanks for any advice!

Tim

Welcome!

How big is the hole and how thick is the plywood?

Try a search on grommets or glands on amazon.

Cut holes the OD of a particular plastic, metal, or ruber tubing/spacer and then press the tubing/spacer into the wood hole.

Insert the wire into heat shrink tubing and slide the tubing down the wire to where the hole will end up.

Use thru bushings:

Thanks, grommets was the term I could not thing of for nothing. Just wide enough to run 5v and 12v lighting out of the cabinet, so 1/2" OD and 3/8" inner I am guessing
